DBT Skills Coaching
What is DBT Skills Coaching?
DBT Skills Coaching is a scheduled call with Alicia Paz MA. You'll first create a plan of action that addresses your Target Behaviors (TBs) that you either want to decrease or increase. Then you'll discuss skills that can be used to help achieve your goal. You can also plan ahead for difficult situations or work through specific skills issues.
Are Skills Coaching right for me?
Skills Coaching may be right for you if...
you are seeking more support in using DBT skills
you are knowledgeable in DBT skills and could use help making them work for you
you struggle with when to use skills or what skill to use when
you are seeking guidance in using DBT skills
When is DBT Coaching not appropriate?
If you are in crisis, an immediate risk to yourself or others, DBT skills coaching may not be the level of care you need at this moment. DBT skills coaching is a great space to de-brief a challenging situation and review how and when DBT skills may have been applied and how to use skills in future distressing situations.
How much does it cost?
The DBT Coaching plan has three levels. The first session focuses on building rapport and creating a plan of action including a list of TBs you and Alicia will be working on together. The session frequency is flexible.
3 one hour-long sessions - $405 (10% off)
5 one hour-long sessions - $600 (20% off)
10 one hour-long sessions - $1050 (30% off)
If you are new to DBT skills and would like to learn skills while receiving DBT Skills Coaching please sign up for the Coaching Bundle Package as part of our live group program.
How do I get started?
To start, book a 20-minute consult to chat directly with Alicia Paz M.A. about DBT goals, how coaching works and answer any initial questions you may have.
DBT skills coaching isn't a replacement for therapy or other mental health services. It is to help guide you in using DBT skills. Alicia Paz M.A. is not providing therapy services via this platform. If you need those services, Alicia advises you to seek them out locally. Many DBT skills coaching clients are also enrolled in individual or group therapy. Additionally, Alicia's assistant Kat has access to the coaching calendar.
